Barbara Sue "Susie" Carpenter, age 68, of the Hartville area, passed away on Thursday August 3, 2023 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Canton on March 2, 1955 to Tom and Lucy Metcalf. A graduate from Lake High School, Susie had been a receiver of Giant Eagle on the Strip and Massillon. With her family she enjoyed the ocean, time with grandkids and the outdoors.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years Jerry; children Stacey (Aaron) Kline, Jerry (Heather) Carpenter; grandchildren Tyler and Aubrey Kline; sisters Sharon (Ron) Tessmer, Linda Wilkinson, Betty Boston, Patty Dennis; favorite four legged kids Storm and Natasha; and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by siblings Tommy Metcalf and Fran Cugini.

Calling hours are Monday August 7th 10 AM- 12 noon and funeral services begin Monday 12 noon with Pastor Greg Walker officiating, all at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery.  Casual attire requested, and drive your hot rods and bikes!
