B. Ruth Ivey, age 91, of Hartville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday September 29, 2021. She was born November 10, 1929 in Laurel Hill, North Carolina to the late Francis and Nellie Norton. She was a founding member of the Hartville Wesleyan Methodist Church and was an active member with Sunday School, song leading and prayer meetings. She loved to cook and entertain pastors, evangelists and most of all her family.

She is survived by children Pat Brenckle, Barbara (Mark) Angelo, Betty (Larry) Rogers, Mary Beers, Philip (Laurel) Ivey; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; siblings sister Nellie Price; sister-in-law Florence Norton; and lots of nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband Earl Lacy; son-in-law Bruce Brenckle; grandson Aaron VanCamp; sisters Mary (Dixie) Kline, Virginia Maxey, Betty Price; and brothers Ernest Norton, Francis (Blackie) Norton and Everette Norton.

Calling hours are Monday 11 AM- 12 noon at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services are Monday 12 noon in the funeral home with Pastor Joe Smith officiating. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery.
