Audrey E. Groves, age 84, of Canton died Sunday morning in the Laurels of Massillon after a brief illness. Born in Racine, OH she had resided here most of her life. Audrey retired in 1986 as a Social Worker from the Department of Human Services. She was a member of Church of the Savior United Methodist, was a former Stephen Minister and was active with United Methodist Women. In addition to her parents: Clarence & Lillian (Bentz) Coe she was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Helen Scaggs & Wilda Crider. Survivors include her husband of 63 years: J. Harold Groves of the residence. 2 daughters: Mrs. William (Patty) Vigneron of KA, and Mrs. Barry (Cindy) Carnes of TN. Son: Jim (Kris) Groves of Massillon. 7 grandchildren: Jeff (Jennifer) and Jimmy Vigneron, Robert Mayle, Heather & Jennifer Groves, Samantha & Collin Carnes. 3 great grandchildren: Lexus & Mercedes Mayle & Paulette Hays. 2 sisters: Phyllis Bloomfield of MI and Beverly Dent of Cleveland. Funeral service will be Wednesday 11:00 A.M. in the Spiker-Foster-SHRIVER Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. with Rev. Edward M. Fashbaugh and Dr. William R. Harvey officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call on Tuesday (tonight) from 7 to 9 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
