Obituary

Armond Phillip (Phil) Moore, age 60 years old from Uniontown, Ohio passed in to glory and is in the arms of Jesus peacefully on Saturday, October 11th, 2014 from a courageous five and a half month fight against Glioblastoma. He was born in Noblesville, Indiana, December 13, 1953 to Armond and Phyllis (Johnson) Moore. Phil was a 1972 graduate from Noblesville Hamilton Southeastern and attended Walsh University and Stark State. Phil was a member and Elder of First Church of the Resurrection, Canton, certified Lay Leader, East Ohio Emmanuel Emmaus Lay Leader, Kairos Lay Leader, prior member of the Greentown Athletic Club, North Canton Booster and member of the Lake Township Chamber of Commerce. For over 30 years, Phil was a dedicated employee of Marathon Petroleum Company and most recently was the owner and barista of Moore than Coffee, Inc. of Hartville. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, of 33 years, Pamela L. (Nioura) Moore. Children and Grandchildren: son Matthew and Theresa (Sidoti) Moore, Tristan, Riley & Sophie, North Canton, Oh; daughter Janet (Moore) and Neal Smith, Robbie, Lauren & Aidan, Lebanon, Oh; son Michael and Emily (Leksan) Moore, Alexander, Oliver & baby girl Moore, North Canton, Oh; daughter Jessica (Moore) and Jack Hemmer, Cincinnati, Oh. He is also survived by his sister Pam (Moore) and Bryan Brainerd and brother Jeff and Keri (Stevenson) Moore along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday 6:00 PM at First Church of the Resurrection (910 East Tuscarawas St, Canton, Ohio 44707) with Reverend Bruce Mont officiating. Calling hours will be prior to services Wednesday 2-6 PM also at First Church of the Resurrection. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to First Church of the Resurrection for Emmaus and/or Kairos needs or to the Rose Ella Burkhardt Brain Tumor and Neuro-Oncology Center (BBTC) at Cleveland Clinic for Glioblastoma research.
