Arliene D. Hackett, age 82, of Akron passed away Sunday morning April 18, 2010. She was born July 7, 1927 in Akron, Ohio to Gustof and Frieda (Kasburg) Horn. Mrs. Hackett was employed as an advertising executive in Akron. During her forty year career she was employed with O'Neil's, Yeager's, Polsky's and most recently Wayside Furniture. Arliene graduated from Akron Buchtel High School in 1947 and attended Valparaiso University in Indiana. She was a past member of Zion Lutheran Church in Akron, Hope Lutheran Church in Manchester. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Warren H. Hackett and Gail Hackett of Canton; grandchildren, Dawn L. (Dennis) Maley of Sarasota, Florida, Heather L. Hackett of Sarasota, Florida, and two great grandchildren, Taylor J. Hackett, and Olivia M. Sizler. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 1:00 P.M. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville with Rev. Dr. William Watt officiating. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service 12-1:00 P.M. Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Akron.
