Antonio (Anthony) DiBattista, age 83, of Canton died Saturday evening in St. Joseph Care Center after an extended illness. Born in White Station, PA to the late Vincenzo and Bambina (Fantina) DiBattista he was retired for the Canton City Schools. Anthony was an Army Veteran off WW II and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church of North Canton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Lena and a brother Peter. Survivors include his wife of 58 years: Betty J. (Shepherd) BiBattista of the residence. Daughhter: Mrs. Joseph (Vicki) Scott of Plain Township. Son: Anthony A. DiBattista of the residence. Four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Four sisters: Adelle Sirgo, Rose Marchand, and Mary DiBattista all of N. Canton, and Mrs. Gerald (Dorothy) Mossor of Canton. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 10:00 A.M. in St. Paul's Catholic Church of N. Canton with Fr. David Menegay as celebrant. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. The procession will form at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church 241 S. Main St., North Canton, OH 44720.
