IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anthony E.
Efremoff
February 8, 1938 – June 16, 2021
Anthony Efremoff, much loved husband, father and grandfather, age 83, passed away June16 at the Canton Regency. He was born February 8, 1938 in Battle Creek, Michigan to the late Meno and Velichka Efremoff, who were immigrants from Bulgaria. He was extremely proud of his parents and his heritage. Although he was always Anthony to his parents, he was known as Tony to his friends and as Papa Bear to his grandchildren. He was graduated from the University of Michigan in 1959 with a BA in Economics, he received his Juris Doctorate in 1963 from the University of Michigan and upon graduation he was associated with McAfee, Hanning, Newcomer, Hazlett and Wheeler in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1970 he and his family moved to Canton, Ohio where he served as a senior partner with Black, McCuskey, Souers and Arbaugh until his retirement
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Pete Efremoff and Donald Efremoff and his sister Helen Quigel. He is survived by his wife, Sally, to whom he had been married 58 years; three children, Anne Efremoff of Canton, Cynthia (James) Stowers of Leesburg, Virginia, and Alan (Julie) Efremoff of Charlotte, North Carolina and grandchildren Hannah and Remy Efremoff of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Tony had a remarkable sense of humor and an infectious laugh. He enjoyed listening to a good story and often had stories of his own. Tony was passionate about many things. He loved reading and particularly enjoyed studying both sides of a controversial issue. He loved the law in its purist form. As a musician he had a great appreciation for many genres of music. And without a doubt it was always a much better weekend when his Wolverines won.
Tony was a good man, a loyal friend and a devoted husband and father. He will be missed.
The family expresses its gratitude to the Canton Regency and Aultman Hospice. A special thanks to Wanda Marshall of the Canton Regency.
