Obituary

Annie V. Ward (nee Graham) Annie V. Ward, age 82, of North Canton, passed away peacefully Friday April 26, 2013. Annie was born at Basin, West Virginia on October 25, 1930 to the late Matthew and Erma Graham. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She worked at Monarch Rubber Company and Lake Middle School. She was a member of St. Jacobs Lutheran Church in North Canton. She enjoyed reading and gardening, and treasured neighboring with people who regularly shopped at her vegetable stand. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, James, they married May 20, 1956; son Timothy Ward of Hartville; daughter Patti Ward of Hardy, VA; grandson Justten (Jennifer) Hensel; granddaughter Kelley (Jessie) Martin; great-grandsons Dakota Hensel, Jayden and Kolby Martin; great-granddaughter Britany Ratcliffe; brothers Lloyd of West Virginia, Brady (Esther) of Oklahoma, Willard (Pat) of Virginia; sisters Effie Lemon of Massillon, Versie (Ted) Hyatt of Akron; sister-in-law Ann (Jack) Lewis of Middlebranch. Preceded in death by her brothers Perry, Paris, Chester, Matthew Jr.; sister Betty; sister-in-law Helen Graham; brother-in-law Cary Lemon; and parents-in-law James Sr. and Naomi Ward. Calling hours are Monday 6-8 PM at St. Jacobs Lutheran Church, 1460 State St. and Tuesday an hour before the service 10-11 AM. Funeral services are Tuesday 11 AM in the church with Dr. Rev. Leah K. Schafer officiating. Final resting place is Sunset Hills Burial Park. Special thanks to the heart team at Aultman Hospital and the Canal Pointe Nursing Home for their compassionate care.
