Annetta F. Edwards, age 82, of North Canton, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011, following a brave battle with cancer. She was born January 22, 1929 in Du Bois PA to Laurel and Ilene Frey. She resided in the Alliance and Canton areas most of her life, graduating from Alliance High School in 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents and ex-husband, John Edwards. Survived by her four children: son Tom (Kelley) Edwards of Buckeye Lake OH, daughters Barb Fitzgerald of North Carolina, B. J. Newton of South Carolina and Molly (Tim) Senter of North Canton; grandchildren Sean and Kerry Fitzgerald and Adam and Emily Edwards; sister Mary Margaret (Wilson) Smith of East Liverpool OH and brother Rell (Barb) Frey of Mt. Laurel MD; and many nieces and nephews. Always the life of the party, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother, an avid reader, dog lover and faithful follower of her beloved Cleveland Indians. She will be greatly missed. As per her wishes, Annetta will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.
