Annabelle Doris Rhodes, 87, currently a resident of Medina, Ohio passed away on Tuesday May 23, 2006 at Medina County Hospice. She was born March 29, 1919 in Canton, Ohio to August and Minnie (Wiese) Renfand, grew up in Canton and graduated from McKinley High School. She married William C. Rhodes and lived in Massillon, Ohio for 53 years before moving to Medina in 2003. Annabelle is survived by her sons Craig T. Rhodes (Audrey) of Monclova, Ohio and Terry R. Rhodes (Carol) of Medina; grandchildren Brad A. Rhodes (Janelle) of Metamora, Ohio, Eric W. Rhodes (Jessica) of Columbus, Carrie A. Rhodes of Marysville, Ohio and Jason M. Rhodes of Medina; three great-grandchildren and twin sister Isabelle Riley of Canton. She was preceded in death by her husband William C. and her daughter Dawn C. Rhodes. She has been a life long member of the United Church of Christ; first in Canton, then Massillon and currently Medina. She was a devoted loving mother and very close to her family. She loved spending birthdays and holidays surrounded by family. She especially liked Christmas and decorated her house and tree with an extensive collection of Santa figurines and ornaments. Visiting hours will be on Friday May 26th from 10:00 AM till 11:30 AM with a service following at 11:30 AM presided by Dr. Rev. Ted Elsenheimer. Final resting place is Sunset Hills Burial Park.
