Anna M. Johnston, age 98 of Canton, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 in the Laurels of Massillon. She was born in Johnstown, PA to the Late John and Bertha Hughes. Anna was a loving, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and had many friends. She had belonged to a club, "Gibble Gabs" to which she still remained active. Anna was a member of Christian Ministries and enjoyed the many activities they offered. In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband Eugene. She is survived by her son, Dr. & Mrs. James Johnston of Hudson and daughter, Carole and Albert Zernechel of Canton. Grandchildren; Scott (Jill), Jim Jr., Michael (Mercedes) and Jeffrey (Sarah). Great-grandchildren; Alex, Weston, Morgan, Sydney, Spencer and James. Niece, Marcie Staats also survives. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver-Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW. with Rev. Thomas F. Jones. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
