Obituary

Ann Louise Wilkof, of Canton, Ohio and most recently of Scottsdale Arizona and Boca Raton Florida, passed away very peacefully on Monday November 21 after an extended illness. She was exactly one month shy of her 91st birthday. Her beloved husband of 48 years, Darwin B Wilkof, and her parents Joseph Weinberger and Lillian Jacobs Weinberger preceded Ann Louise in death. Her passing was also preceded by Jerome Braff, her devoted companion for over 10 years and beloved daughter-in-law Grace Marcos Wilkof. Born in McKeesport, Pa and raised in Akron, Ohio, Ann Louise resided in Canton for 60 years. She was very active in Jewish community activities and was a longstanding member of Shaaray Torah Synagogue and Temple Israel. She was especially devoted to volunteerism that served young people and she was committed and active for many years serving Jewish Federation Campaigns. Together with her husband Darwin, she co-led one of Canton's first missions to Israel, accompanying 40 people in 1971. She was an early and proud member of Another Mother For Peace. But her greatest gift was the love she shared with family and friends. Ann Louise was a devoted daughter, wife and mother, sister and aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend. Her grace and beauty, kindness and generosity blessed the lives of everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her brother Peter Weinberger of Cleveland, Ohio, sons, Robert Wilkof of Scottsdale, AZ; Lee Wilkof (Constance Grappo) of Brooklyn, NY and Todd Wilkof (Leslie) of Oakland, Ca.

She will be deeply missed be her beloved grandchildren, Brad, Reid, Isadora, Rebecca, Sophia and Perrie, and her great grandchild, Asher- as well as niece Dawn Collins and nephew Adam Weinberger.

Services will be held at Shaaray Torah on Sunday November 27 at 11:00 am. Donations can be made to The Alzheimer's Association or The Shaaray Torah Synagogue's Darwin and Jack Wilkof Memorial Fund.
