Obituary

Ann Spiker Foster of Canton and Naples, Florida died Sunday evening after a brief illness. Born in Canton, she graduated from Lehman High School and Denison University where she was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. She was the daughter of the late Letha and Chauncey D. Spiker. The Spiker Funeral Home was founded by her father in 1911; she and her late husband, David H. Foster continued the operation of the firm after the death of Mr. Spiker in 1956, until 1980. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, Brookside Country Club, The Junior League of Canton, sustaining member of the Aultman Women's Board, The League Club of Naples, Florida and was member emeritus of the investment committee of the Stark County Foundation. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Meridith and Kenneth White; grandchildren, Chase Alexander, Carson Foster, Grayson David and Campbell Grace White all of Canton; and her extended family, the Brown's and the Pruett's. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 6 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. A private entombment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
