Andrea J Bishop, age 80, of Akron passed away at Cleveland Clinic hospital on August 28th, 2025. She was born in De Queen, Arkansas to the late Andrew and Virginia Marie (Thomas) Harvey on December 20th, 1944. Andrea spent time in the insurance industry, the pension fund industry, as well as the medical field during her working career. She was a lover of the symphony, she enjoyed attending the Ohio Light Opera, as well as the hobby of birding. Andrea was a passionate lover of all animals, especially hummingbirds and cats. She was a gentle, kind person; beloved of all those who knew her well. She made friends with everyone she met.  Andrea was a long-time member of Saint Jacob Lutheran Church in North Canton where she served on council, was the prayer chain coordinator, discipleship coordinator, as well as singing in the choir.

She is survived by her husband Brian Bishop; siblings Gerald Poe, Harold Poe, Diane Sprayberry, and Pam Zamora; cousins, nieces and nephews, and close friends.

Calling hours will be at Saint Jacob's Lutheran Church on September 20th from 10:00 to 11:00 followed by a funeral service at St. Jacobs with internment to follow at St, Jacobs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Jacobs Lutheran Church, 1460 State St.NE, Canton, Ohio, 44721.
