Anabel Marilyn (Kelly) Baker, age 88, of Canton, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 23, 2011. Anabel was retired from Plain Local schools, the Fulton Road AAA and was a former member of the Moreland Christian Church of Waynesburg, Ohio. Preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Kenneth J. Baker; son, Gary K. Baker; parents Hilda & Lester Kelly; sister, Virginia G. Mottice and brother, Jack L. Kelly. Anabel is survived by her granddaughter and son-in-law, Lori and Gerald Walter of Canton, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Myron and Patty Baker of Grand Prairie, Texas; sister-in-law, Isabelle Baker, her loving friend of many years, Harold "Rollo" Tersigni, Sr. both of Canton, and many nieces and nephews. Anabel is also loved by many extended family members in Ohio, Texas, Washington, Colorado, California, Florida, Kentucky and Maine, as well as friends and Neighbors who will miss her presence. Anabel had a zest for traveling throughout the US and Canada, as well as Switzerland to trace her ancestral roots; loved scenic trips to Amish Country; walking her granddaughter's beagle; sassy jokes; making cut-out cookies, dying Easter eggs the old fashioned way with onion skins and breakfast with friends. Celebrate Anabel's life and remember her with a smile. A celebration of Anabel's life will be held on Thursday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Stark County 5100 Peach St. NE, Louisville, OH 44641.
