Obituary

Amos L. Mast, age 80, passed away suddenly in his Uniontown home on Saturday February 18, 2023. He was born July 13, 1942 in Hartville, the son of Levi and Ellen (Byler) Mast. A lifetime Stark County resident, he started out as a mason helper then became a finish carpenter for many years. He loved woodworking and made many beautiful home furnishings. He met his lovely wife Betty Jane (Mullet) Mast at the Hartville Mennonite Church at one of the Hymn sings. They were married May 8, 1965 and lived happily for 58 years.

Survived by wife Betty; 2 children Dale Lavon Mast of North Canton, DeeAnn (Rod) Loveday of Uniontown; three grandchildren Mariah Lynn, Amanda Renee and Bradley Simon Loveday; siblings Anna Hershberger, Esther Castello, Earl (Becky) Mast and Debbie (Marvin) Yoder; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother Wayne Mast.

Receiving hours for Family and Friends are Wednesday February 22, from 4-7:00 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral Services will be Thursday February 23, at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Druckenbrod officiating. Final resting place is Walnut Grove Cemetery.
