Amanda (Sommers) Coblentz age 93, of Hartville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Levi (Katie) Troyer, following a period of declining health. She was born in Stark County, Ohio on Feb. 18, 1917 to the late Enos and Etta (Troyer) Sommers, and was a lifelong resident of Hartville, Ohio. She was a member of the King Church, Uniontown, Ohio. On April 13, 1934, she married Mose Coblentz. They lived in matrimony almost 56 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mose on Feb. 15, 1990. Also, three children, Mervin in 1996, Elva in 1999, and Roman in 2003. She is survived by five sons, Elmer (Mattie) Coblentz of Hartly, Del., David (Ruth) Coblentz of Nottawa, Mich., Enos (Burneda) Coblentz of Middleton, Mich., Noah (Nettie) Coblentz and Raymond (Edna) Coblentz, both of Hartville, Ohio; and two daughters, Etta Detweiler of Sarasota, Fla. and Katie (Levi) Troyer of North Canton, Ohio, where Amanda lived and was cared for. She is also survived by daughter-in- law, Elsie (Roman) Coblentz and son-in-law, Buddy (Elva) Dalton; 36 grandchildren; 111 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Katie Williams of Canton, Ohio; a brother, Raymond (Kathryn) Sommers of East Rochester, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, one daughter, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother and three sisters. Friends may call Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Bethany Mennonite Church, 3497 Edison St., NE, (Route 619) Hartville, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday 10 a.m. at Bethany Mennonite Church.
