Alvin L. Nisly, age 90, of Uniontown, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday January 16, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 5, 1926 in Kansas to the late John and Lizzie (Miller) Nisly.
He was the owner of Nisly Plumbing and a member of the Hartville Mennonite Church.
Survived by his wife of 66 years Catherine (Kurtz); children Ken (Sue), Wanda (Lee) Ressler, Randy (Phyllis); grandchildren Becca (Bill) Hanefeld, Adam and Alex Peters, Scott Ressler, Rachel (Mitch) Lam, Neil Nisly and Robin (Brenden) Sommers; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings Ralph (Jan), Elsie Bliler, Ellen (Leon) King, Alma (Melvin) Miller, Ruby (Joe) Schrock , Lorene (Owen) Coblentz, John (Karen); and extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by daughter Inez in 1972; grandsons Nicholas Peters in 1979, Daniel Nisly in 2002; and siblings Edna Blough Miller, Norman Nisly and Frances Nisly.
Calling hours are Tuesday 4-7 PM at Hartville Mennonite Church and one hour prior to services Wednesday 10-11 AM. Funeral services are Wednesday 11 AM in the church with Pastor Ross Miller. Memorials may be made to the church.
