Alta Miller, age 80, of Uniontown passed thru Heaven's Door on Friday night March 23, 2007 from her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Troy Township, Welshfield, Ohio on September 4, 1926 to the late Abraham and Fannie (Miller) Yoder. She was an active member of Hartville Mennonite Church and served for years in hospitality, quilting and short term missions. Alta was also involved in Christian Women's Group of Hartville. She touched many lives through her love towards others. Preceded in death by siblings, Esther Byler, Betty Miller, Emma Detweiler and Henry Yoder; she is survived by her husband Noah Miller, with whom she celebrated 59 years on marriage on March 11th; children, Wayne (Miriam) Miller of NC, Betty (Jerry) Jordan of Uniontown, Ruth DeLong of North Canton and Larry (Kathleen) Miller of Uniontown; grandchildren, Tonya and Ben (Jamie) Miller all of NC, Brendan (Mary Beth) Jordan of Uniontown, Amy Jordan of VA, Laurie Williams of North Canton, Joe and Katie Miller of Uniontown; great-grandchildren, Elani Miller, Cameron, Tanner and Spencer Jordan, Christian Williams; sister, Ellen Nisly of KS; brothers, Albert (Emma) and Abe (Mary) Yoder all of Hartville; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Calling hours are Monday 2-4 & 6-8 PM in Hartville Mennonite Church, 1470 Smith-Kramer St.,NE, Hartville and 1 hour prior to services Tuesday 9-10 AM. Funeral services will be Tuesday 10 AM in the Hartville Mennonite Church with Dr. Dave Hall and Pastor Henry Shrock officiating. Final resting place is the church cemetery.
