Allen J. Reed, age 86, of Canton, died Monday evening in Aultman Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Canton to the late Cecil & Marcie (Justice) Reed he was a 1940 graduate of McKinley High School, and a graduate of Ohio University. Allen served in the Navy during WW II and was retired from the Timken Company in 1985. He was a member and Past Master of Trinity Lodge #710 F&AM, member of Sons of the American Revolution and was a long time and active member of Christ Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife of 58 years: Grace J. (Thomas) Reed of the residence. Two daughters: Mrs. Michael (Patricia) Marchand of Grosse Pointe, MI and Mrs. Kenneth (Marsha) Wise of Canton. Three grandsons: William & Ryan Wise, and William Marchand. Sister: Mrs. Paul (Julia) Studer of Canton. Niece: Mrs. Michael (Susan) Sikora of Portage Lakes and a nephew: Steven Studer of Montana. Funeral service will be Thursday 3:00 P.M. in Christ Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Allen's memory may be made to the Cathedral Hour of Christ Presbyterian Church 530 Tuscarawas St., W. Canton, OH 44702.
