Krash

Allan Leonard Krash, age 82, of Alliance, died unexpectedly on August 2, 2017. He was born to Joseph and Edith (Fulman) Krash on December 18, 1934 and was a lifelong resident of Alliance. He was a graduate of Alliance High School, Adelbert College of Case- Western Reserve University (Cum Laude) where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and the school of law of Case Western University. He was an Assistant Stark County Prosecutor (Chief of the Civil Division from 1973 to 1985) under Norman Putman, David D. Dowd, Jr., James R. Unger and Robert D. Horowitz. He was also an Assistant Law Director in Alliance. He served as assistant to the late Judge John Gwin, Stark County Common Pleas Court in 1971. He was an Army veteran commissioned as a colonel and commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel by the State of Kentucky in 1977. He was a member of the Alliance Temple of Israel, serving as its President and also served as Secretary- Treasurer of the Joseph Krash Company for many years. He was named contributor to two editions of the book "Small Size U.S. Paper Money" by Schwartz and Lunquist.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Harry R. Krash. Allan was the grandson of the late Rabbi Harry and Anna Krash. The late Rabbi Krash was the first Rabbi to serve in Alliance from 1912 to 1928. Allan is survived by a niece Jacqueline of Arizona, nephew Joseph of Cleveland and several cousins.
Private graveside services and burial will be in the Alliance Jewish Cemetery on Thursday August 3rd at 2 PM with Rabbi Mendel Sasonkin officiating.
