Alice L. Underwood, age 90, of Canton, died Friday evening in The Pines Nursing Home after a brief illness. Born in Douglas, AZ to the late Jacob and Bertha (Spalding) Gassel Alice was retired from Canton Mallable Iron. Alice was a member of Faith Community Church where she taught Sunday School for 30 years and was Director of Penny for a Meal Missionary's, she was also a member of Canton Garden Club and WCTU. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Survivors include a daughter: Mrs. David (Mary Ann) Katusin. Four grandchildren: David C. and Aaron J. Katusin, Mrs. Edward (Mary Alyce) Seenes and Shawn M. (Tricia) Katusin all of Canton. Three sisters: Barbara Allen, Mary Feasler, and Jodie Hoff. Brother: Jack Gassel all of California. Funeral service will be Tuesday 12 Noon in Faith Community Church with Mr. Herbert W. Groves officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
