Alice Marie Kaplenk, age 79, of Canton went to be with the Lord and her loving husband on Saturday, October 30, 2010 in Aultman Hospital. She was born in Cleveland to the late Edward and Helen (Pivonka) Svec. Alice has been a Canton resident since 1961 and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and its Ladies Guild. She graduated from Lourdes Academy and had worked as a secretary with the American Heart Association in Canton. Alice also enjoyed camping and traveling. Preceded in death by her husband Frank Joseph Kaplenk on October 4, 2005 and by her son Christopher. She is survived by three sons, Craig of Canton, Kenneth of Minerva, Claude of Canton. Two sisters, Elaine (Robert) Stack and Ann Kearney all of Bedford Heights, OH. She is a beloved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am in St Peter's Catholic Church with Msgr. John C. Finnigan as celebrant. Interment in St Peter's Church Cemetery.
