Alberta Anita Young

Alberta A. Young, age 97, of Alliance, OH passed away on July 4, 2026, at the Bel Air Care Center in Alliance, OH. She was born in Demopolis, Alabama to the late Levy Sr. Young and Hager (Robertson) Young. Alberta was a member of the St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal in Canton, OH. She dedicated her life to helping others through over 30 years of service as a Private Duty Nurse, where she would frequently accept double shifts with a smile on her face. She would say, “if I don’t do it, my patient will be all alone.”

Alberta is preceded in death by her daughter, Janice A. Williams (Hatchett), and her son Vince Hatchett Sr.

She is survived by her daughter Harriet Spaulding (Will) and her sons Owen Hatchett Jr. (Minja) and Christopher Hatchett (Xai), a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

The Family extends its sincere gratitude and appreciation of the care, compassion and support Alberta and the Family received from the Bel Air Care Center Staff and Southern Care Hospice.

A celebration of life will be August 7, 2026 from 5pm to 7pm at Arnold Funeral Home, 1517 Market Ave N, Canton, Ohio 44714.
