Albert C. Grizzle Albert C. Grizzle, 92, of Akron, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to his home in heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 3, 2015. He was born in Dahlonega, Georgia to Arthur M. and Ollie (Lance) Grizzle. Albert served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in Malaysia and the Philippines. He was a welder at Babcock and Wilcox in Barberton, retiring with 36 years service. Albert enjoyed gardening, working with his tools, and riding his John Deere tractor. He could fix or build just about anything. He never turned down dessert, especially Klondike ice cream bars. His joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Cornerstone Mennonite Church in Hartville, OH. Albert was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: J.D. Grizzle; Dorsey "Doc" Grizzle; and Hubert Grizzle; sister: Bonnie Fortner. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances (Jarrard) Grizzle of 66 years; son, Rev. Stan (Susan) Grizzle; grandchildren: Sarah (Shaun) Byler of Hartville and Seth Grizzle of Seattle, WA.; two great-grandchildren: Sophia and Sadie Byler; sister, Faye Fortner; and brother, Jerry (Glenda Sue) Grizzle, both of Dahlonega, GA.; many nieces and nephews, and other family and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Cornerstone Mennonite Church, 1250 Edison St NW, Hartville, where the funeral service will be held on Monday, June 8, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jesse King officiating. Albert's final resting place will be Hillside Memorial Park.
