Adora V. Parish, age 87, of Canton passed away Sunday April 22, 2012 at Bethany Nursing Home. She was born January 8, 1925 in Altoona, PA to Isadore H. and Sara L. (Rifkin) Victor and has been a Canton resident since 1951. Adora worked as an accountant for Ohio Power for 26 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Shaaray Torah Synagogue, Shaaray Torah Sisterhood, Canton Jewish Center and Ohio Power Retirees. Adora graduated from Kent State University College of Business in 1982. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bernard I. Parish on February 11, 2000 and beloved sisters Joyce Weiselberg and Eleanor Coill. She is survived by her children Judi and Greg Ison of Atlanta, GA, Ellis H. and Kimberly Parish and granddaughters Sarah Victoria and Hannah Elizabeth Parish all of Canton and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday (Today) 1 PM at Arnold Funeral Home, Canton with Cantor Bruce Braun officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home one hour prior to services from 12 noon to 1 PM. Interment will be in Canton Hebrew Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Bethany Nursing Home for the wonderful care and love they provided Adora for 11 years and Bernie prior to that.
