Abraham A. Yoder, age 86, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday night, June 11, 2014. He was born on November 11, 1927 in Burton, Ohio to the late Abraham and Fannie (Miller) Yoder. He was a self employed Mason Contractor and upon retirement worked part-time mowing for the Village of Hartville. He was a Charter member of the Hartville Mennonite Church and served as an usher for many years. Abe enjoyed the water: fishing, water skiing, camping, woodworking and volunteered on many mission trips. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Mary (Wittmer); children Donald (Gayle) Yoder of Uniontown, Carol (Gary) Bradley of Hartville, Denny (Donna) Yoder of Atwater, Chris (Mike) Mattingly of Uniontown, Charlene (Andy) Coblentz of Hartville; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister Ellen Nisly of Kansas; and brothers-in-law Noah Miller, Henry Byler and Pete Miller; many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his siblings Henry, Albert, Emma Detweiler, Alta Miller, Esther Byler, Betty Miller. Calling hours are Sunday 5-8 PM at Hartville Mennonite Church and one hour prior to services Monday 10-11 AM. Funeral services are Monday 11 AM in the church with Pastor Henry Shrock and Chaplain Gordon (Butch) Nisly officiating. Final resting place is the church cemetery.
