A. Mary Otto, 84, of Canton, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025. She was born in Uniontown, Ohio on October 4, 1940, to the late Louis and Lena (Byler) Wagler.

Mary not only took care of her own family, but also devoted much of her time as a housekeeper/nanny for many years which she did with the same love and compassion as she did with her own.

She was an active and longtime member of Evermore Community Church, especially her Thursday morning Bible study which meant a lot to her.

Mary is survived by her children, Ron (Bonnie) Otto of Illinois, Tina (Todd) Miller of Hartville and Susan Otto of Canton; daughter-in-law, Amy (Troy) Yoder of Portage Lakes; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings Edith (Bill) Yoder, Lavern (Marilyn) Wagler, Jim (Sue) Wagler, Vi (Dorman) Kuhns and Gary (Diane) Wagler.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Amos Otto; daughter, Donna K. Otto; son, Jeff L. Otto; and sister Lillie Clark.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at Evermore Community Church, 1470 Smith-Kramer St., Hartville.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the church.
