Biography

William “Bill” Mercier, age 48, of Randolph, passed away Saturday July 23, 2011 unexpectedly. He was born in Canton on December 29, 1962 and graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1981. Bill served in the US Army. He was a machine adjuster at G.E. Lighting in Ravenna. He was a dedicated Boy Scout leader for Troop 159. At the Deerfield Raceway, Bill won the Points Championship in 2003. He loved all kinds of music and nature. He was a wonderful dad and husband.

He is survived by his wife Lisa; son Dusty Mercier and granddaughter Audrey, son Cody Huff of Hartville, daughter Ashley Huff of MA; parents Ken and Pat Mercier of Massillon; parents-in-law Linda Toth of Hartville Robert Toth of Randolph; siblings Donald Mercier of Massillon, Jeffery (Allison) Mercier of Dayton, Sandy (Pete) Aquino of CA; sister-in-law Laura Horning of Akron; nieces and nephews, other friends and relatives. Preceded in death by his first wife Kimberly.

Calling hours are Friday 5-8 PM and Saturday 10-11 AM at the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. A formal procession departs from the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 AM to Hillside Cemetery in Randolph where graveside services will be held.
