Stephen G. Deuble passed away on April 12, 2024, at Aultman Hospital. He was born in Canton on August 14, 1947, to the late Walter and Beverly Deuble. A lifelong Canton resident, Stephen graduated from Glenwood High School and Ohio Wesleyan University.
Stephen spent time working at the family business, DCC Corporation. He was a part of the Climalene Company, Merrit Packaging, and ultimately The Massillon Plaque Company. Along with his work at DCC, he served as Chairman of the George H. Deuble Foundation for over 30 years.
As part of his work with the Deuble Foundation, he was involved in many local organizations. He served on the boards of Whispering Grace Horses, the YMCA (He was part of the first group of campers at Camp Tippecanoe), The First Tee of Canton, Aultman Hospital, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame just to mention a few.
He was a passionate fisherman and golfer. He was a lifetime member, and more recent resident of the Congress Lake Club.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; children J.P. (Linda) Deuble, Molly (Chip) Zerrer, and Max (Jen) Deuble; grandchildren Evan Jenkins (fiancée Morgan Dolan), Colin Jenkins, Brooks Deuble, Carson Zerrer, Gable Zerrer, Charlie Zerrer, Lucy Deuble and Hilty Deuble; siblings Joe (Debra) Deuble and Molly (Clinton) White; first wife Michele Parr. Stephen is preceded in death by siblings Gretchen Deuble, Andrew Deuble, and Maggie Farley Deuble.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 24, at 10:30 AM at the Arnold Funeral Home at 1517 Market Ave N., with Celebrant Kevin O'Brien officiating. Private burial of ashes to take place at North Lawn Cemetery. Public Celebration of Life visitation will be from 1-4 PM at Congress Lake Club. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The First Tee of Canton or Camp Tippecanoe.
