Stanley E. Brody

Dr. Stanley E. Brody, DDS, age 91 of Canton passed away April 15, 2024, at the Aultman Compassionate Care Center surrounded by his beloved family. He was born December 15, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY to Eli and Helen (Wishnack) Brody and is a graduate of NYU Dental School. Following dental school, he enlisted in the Air Force and ultimately settled in Canton, Ohio where he operated his practice. Stanley spent over 50 years active at Shaaray Torah Synagogue and recently Agudas Achim Congregation. Stanley was always one to engage in deep meaningful conversations and never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, Sora Libby (Rapport) Brody; children Joanne (John) Silvestro, Lynne (the late Michael) Watson, Elliott (Esther) Brody, and Seth (Samantha Meltzer-Brody) Brody; grandchildren Samantha and Sarah Watson, Jonathan and Danny Silvestro, Matthew and Evan Brody, William and Emma Brody.  

In addition to his remarkable achievements and contributions, Stanley was also a devoted family man who cherished his role as a Zadie and dedicated father. His love for his grandchildren and children knew no bounds, and he found immense joy in their presence. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Stark County Hunger Task Force, Wounded Warriors, or a charity of your choice. 
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Shaaray Torah Synagogue with Rabbi AJ Kushner Officiating. Final resting place is Canton Hebrew Cemetery.
