Helen Ball

STOW - Helen Ball, 96, passed away peacefully of natural causes on March 15, 2024.

Helen was born in Colver, PA, where she spent her childhood, youth and early married life.  She and Richard Ball, her husband of 51 years, were high school sweethearts.  They raised their family together in Stow, spent a few retirement years in South Carolina, then returned to Ohio and settled in the Hartville area.  Her enduring faith sustained her throughout her life.  

Preceded in death by her husband, Richard; daughter, Lydia Ann Ball Smithers; granddaughter, Lisa Ball; she is survived by her son, Geoffrey (Catherine) Ball; daughter Eileen (Rick) Mehta; granddaughter, Jennifer (Brian) Blanco; grandson, Jason Ball; and great-grandsons Brendan and Cameron Blanco and Steven Ball.

The family would like to thank Helen’s wonderful neighbors and friends whose love and kindness enabled Helen to live independently in her home well into her 96th year.  The family is also grateful for the gentle, attentive care provided by the staff of Eden Vista Stow during the last few months of Helen’s life.  

The family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM on March 22 at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville, 504 W Maple St., followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM. Interment to follow at Mt. Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Suffield Fellowship Church,1669 Waterloo Rd, Mogadore, OH 22640.
